Cal Young park, on T&P Lane (map), is home to Abilene’s only roller hockey rink. The rink is used for organized roller hockey teams, as well as for casual outdoor skating by the public. It’s a great looking facility that appears to be very well maintained. There’s room for lots of spectators, as well as ample parking adjacent to the rink.
I only found out about this rink about a year ago. I’m not sure when it was built; but, It looks like it’s been there at least 8-10 years? If YOU know when it was built, let me know.
The rink is frequently used by Abilene Hockey, a local organization of youth and adult hockey teams.
