The People’s Plaza

the-peoples-plaza

I came across this venue by comlpete accident. During one of my bike rides around town, I noticed the cool artwork on the back of a commercial strip center, located behind the original “Bank of Commerce” at South 14th and Willis. I had to stop and get some pics. Later, I went around the front side, and realized it was a unique community of artists and entrepreneurs with a common goal — To provide a place where everyone is welcome, to enjoy art, culture, entrepreneurship, food, fun, and community.

The strip center is home to a wide variety of creative businesses, galleries, food vendors, and more.

I haven’t found, online, much of a “mission steatment”; but I did find this tagline on their Facebook page.

Creative spaces of every form and size, a place for all people to express themselves

There are retailers that provide haircuts and cosmetic services, art galleries, music related services, food venues, and more! I plan on visiting there soon, just to see what it’s all about. I’ll post an update when I find out more.
